1. What kind of person was Paul before he met Jesus?
예수님을 만나기 전 바울 (사울)은 어떤 사람이었나요?
: Paul grew up in a religious household. He was a devout Jew who was born in Tarsus and inherited his Roman citizenship from his father. As a Pharisee, he received high Jewish religious education. He violently persecuted God’s church and tried to destroy it, because he thought Christians are against Jewish laws. He dragged believers from their houses and put them in prison. He approved of the stoning of Stephen and thought he deserves to die.
:바울 (사울)은 다소의 매우 종교적인 유대인 가정에서 태어났고 로마 시민이었던 아버지로부터 로마 시민권을 물려받았습니다. 바리새인으로서 그는 당대 가장 뛰어난 유대교 교육을 받았습니다. 그는 그리스도인들이 유대교의 법을 위반하는 것이라고 생각하여 하나님의 교회와 그리스도인들을 무자비하게 박해했습니다. 그는 남녀노소와 상관없이 예수님을 믿는 자들을 끌어내어 모두 가두어 버렸습니다. 또한 그는 스데반이 순교할 때에 사람들이 그에게 돌을 던지는 것에 찬성하였고 그가 죽어 마땅하다고 여겼던 사람이었습니다.
2. How was Pual changed after he met Jesus? 바울은 예수님을 만난 뒤 어떻게 변했나요?
After Jesus revealed Himself to Paul (Saul), Paul was never the same. Paul was convinced that Jesus whom he had been persecuting was the Lord and the Savior. God had called him to share the Good News to the gentiles to the end of the earth, and Paul devoted his whole life to share the Good News about Jesus until he martyred.
예수님이 바울에게 자신을 나타내신 후, 바울의 삶은 이전과 같을 수 없었습니다. 바울은 그가 이제껏 핍밥해온 예수님이 바로 주시며 구원자심을 깨닫고 하나님의 부르심을 따라가게 됩니다. 하나님은 를 이방인에게구원의 복된 소식을 전하는 자로 세우셨고 바울은 순교당하는 그 순간까지 예수님의 복음을 전하는 일에 모든 삶을 바칩니다.
3. What kind of people does God use for His kingdom?
하나님이 하나님 나라를 위하여 사용하시는 사람들은 어떤 사람들인가요?
Paul was a persecutor of Jesus and Christians. But when he met Jesus, his life was completely changed and God used him in mighty ways. All Christians were afraid of Paul and were not able to believe when they saw him changed completely. No one would have never imagined that Paul would be used by God for His work. But God had a purpose and plan for Paul. After Paul encountered Jesus, he devoted his whole life for Jesus. He traveled many places to share the gospel and started many churches. He also wrote most of the New Testament. There is no one God cannot change or cannot use.
바울은 예수님과 그를 믿는 그리스도인들을 박해하던 사람이었습니다. 하지만 그가 예수님을 만났을 때 그의 삶은 완전히 변화되었고 하나님은 그를 놀랍게 사용하십니다. 모든 그리스도인들은 그를 두려워하였고그가 변화된 것을 믿지 못했습니다. 그 누구도 하나님이 바울을 변화시키셔서 사용하신다는 것을 상상도 해보지 못했을 것입니다. 하지만 하나님은 바울을 향한 계획과 목적을 가지고 계셨습니다. 바울이 예수님을 만난 후에 그는 그의 모든 삶을 예수님께 드렸습니다. 바울은 많은 지역을 다니면서 이방인들에게 예수님의 구원의 복된 소식을 선포하였고 많은 교회들을 세웠습니다. 그는 신약의 대부분을 쓴 사람이기도 합니다. 하나님이 변화시키시고 사용하지 못하실 사람은 아무도 없습니다.
