1. How do we have to live as followers of Jesus?
우리는 예수님을 믿고 따르는 사람들로서 어떻게 살아야 하나요?
In Colossians, Paul talkes about how Jesus saved us from our sins and how the gospel affects how we live. We were once in the darkness, but God brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins (Colossians 1:13). We were once the enemy of God and dead in our sins, but now reconciled with God through what Jesus had done. Jesus rescued us from sin and death by dying on the cross and rising again. Jesus gives new life to people who trust in Him.
As the people who are saved by Grace, we need to live for Jesus. Jesus is our reason for living, and He gives us power to live in a way that honors Him. Jesus calls us to turn away from our sinful ways and live in a way that honors Him. We have to put off our “old self” (the old and sinful way of living) and put on the “new self” which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Paul wrote that living for Jesus means putting away the evil, selfish ways of the world and living like Jesus by loving God and loving others.
골로새 교회에 보낸 편지에서 바울은 예수님이 어떻게 우리를 죄로부터 구원하셨는지 그리고 그렇게 구원받은 우리는 어떻게 살아야 하는지에 대해 말합니다.

그 은혜로 구원 받은 우리는 예수님을 위하여 살아야 합니다. 예수님은 우리 삶의 이유되시며 우리가 그분을 위해 살아갈 수 있는 힘과 능력을 주십니다. 예수님은 우리를 죄악되었던 우리의 삶에서 떠나 하나님을 존중하고 높이는 삶을 살도록 부르셨습니다. 우리는 우리의 옛사람 (이전의 죄악된 삶)을 벗어버리고 우리 창조주의 형상을 따라 지식에까지 새롭게 하심을 입은 “새 사람”이 되라고 말씀하십니다. 바울은 예수님을 위해 산다는 것은 악하고 이기적인 세상의 삶을 벗어버리고 하나님을 사랑하며 이웃을 사랑하는 것임을 말합니다.
자녀와 함께 골로새서 3장 5-14절을 읽고 “옛 사람” 과 “새 사람”에 대해 바울이 어떻게 말했는지 이야기해보세요. 옛사람의 모습에는 어떤것이 있는지, 새 사람의 모습에는 어떤 것이 있는지 찾아보세요.
How can we remember to think about heavenly things instead of earthly things?
