1. Why was Jesus’ teaching have authority unlike scribes and teachers of the law? 왜 예수님의 가르침은 다른 서기관들이나 율법교사들의 가르침과 달리 권위가 있었나요?

: The scribes and teachers of the law only relied on traditional interpretations of the Torah (the law of Moses) from other teachers. But Jesus spoke with His own authority from Heaven, because He is the Son of God and God Himself. People were astonished by His teaching with authority.

서기관들과 율법교사들은 전통적인 해설이나 다른 선생들의 가르침에만 의지하여 율법을 가르쳤지만 , 예수님은 하나님의 아들이시자 하나님 자신으로서 그 권위를 가지고 가르치셨습니다. 사람들은 예수님의 권위 있는 말씀에 놀라고 감탄했습니다.

2. Why did Jesus perform miracles? 예수님은 왜 기적을 행하셨나요?

The miracles that Jesus perform brought many people to faith and help them to believe that Jesus is the Messiah and the Son of God. That also showed that God cares for His people that He wants to heal and free His people from sickness and oppression.

예수님이 행하신 기적은 많은 이들이 예수님이 하나님의 아들이시고 메시야 이시라는 것을 믿을 수 있게 도왔을 뿐만 아니라 하나님이 그의 자녀들을 돌보시고 계시며 그들을 고치시고 자유케 하시기를 원하신다는 것을 보여줍니다.

3. Read Luke 4:17-18 that Jesus quoted from Isaiah 61 and Matthew 8: 17 that was quoted from Isaiah 53:4 and talk about why He came to the earth.

누가복음 4:17-18 과 마태복음 8:17을 읽어보고 이사야 61장과 53:4를 읽어보며 예수님이 이땅에 오신 이유에 대해 이야기 해보세요.

“and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written: “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭4:17-18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases.”” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭8:17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

By healing the sick and driving out demons, Jesus show that He is the Messiah that was promised to come by prophet Isaiah. help your kids understand that Jesus is the Messiah that was prophesied by many prophets to come and fulfilled the prophecies.

병자들을 고치시고 귀신을 쫓아내심으로 선지자 이사야를 통해 예언된 메시야가 본인이심을 보이신 예수님에 대해 이야기 해보고 앞에 읽은 구절들을 통해 예수님이 어떻게 그 예언된 메시야 이시며 그 예언들을 성취하셨는지 아이에게 이야기 해주세요

*Tell your kids that Jesus have done so many miracles, but the biggest miracle that He had done was that He saved us. He moved us from darkness to light and from death to life. He is all powerful God who is able to do all miracles, but He didn‘t do any miracles on the cross. He was hung helplessly and died bearing all our sins. He died for our sins and He rose again on the 3rd day! His salvation through His death and resurrection is the biggest miracle that He had done for us.

* 아이에게 예수님이 많은 기적들을 행하셨지만, 예수님이 행하신 가장 큰 기적은 우리를 구원하신 일이라고 말해주세요. 우리를 어둠에서 빛으로, 죽음에서 생명으로 옮기신 구원. 예수님은 전능하신 하나님이셨지만 십자가에서는 아무런 기적도 행하지 않으셨습니다. 십자가에 매달려 우리의 죄를 지시고 전능하신 하나님이 힘없는 죄많은 인간처럼 죽으셨습니다. 3일만에 부활하셔서 우리에게 참된 구원과 새생명을 주심. 그것이 우리를 위해 행하신 가장 큰 기적임을 말해주세요.
