1. What is prayer?

기도는 무엇인가요?

Prayer is the confession of our dependence to God. It is talking to God daily and having fellowship with God. God knows everything we need even before we talk to God, but He is pleased when we come to God and talk to Him. Prayer is also aligning our will with God.

기도는 하나님에 대한 우리의 전적인 의존의 표현입니다. 기도는 날마다 하나님과 대화하고 교제하는 것입니다. 하나님은 우리가 하나님께 구하기도 전에 우리에게 필요한 것을 아시지만 우리가 하나님께 나와 기도하는 것을 기뻐하십니다. 기도는 또한 우리의 뜻이 하나님의 뜻을 닮아가게 합니다.

2. How did Jesus teach us to pray?

예수님은 어떻게 기도에대해 가르쳐 주셨나요?

: Jesus taught His disciples to pray by praying to God the Father everyday. Bible tells us that Jesus prayed early morning. Jesus is God, but why did he need to pray to God? Jesus modeled us to be dependent on God everyday. Jesus also taught the Lord’s prayer. It is not to establish the words we should use but to show how we should pray and what we should pray about.

예수님은 매일 하나님 아버지께 기도하심으로 제자들에게 기도의 본을 보이셨습니다, 성경은 예수님이 새벽 아직도 밝기전에 한적한 곳으로 가서 기도하셨다고 기록합니다. 예수님은 하나님이셨음에도 하나님께 매일 기도하심으로서 우리가날마다 하나님을 의지하며 기도하는 삶을 살아야 할 것을 가르치셨습니다. 예수님은 또한 어떻게 기도해야 하냐고 묻는제자들에게 ‘주기도문’을 알려주셨습니다. 그것은 단순히 기도문을 외워서 기도하라는 것이 아닌 우리가 어떨게 기도해야하고 무엇을 위해 기도해야 하는지 알려주신 것입니다.

3. How do we have to pray?
