1. What was the work that God gave John?

:Isaiah prophesied of a messenger who would come before Jesus to prepare the way for the Lord, “A voice of one calling In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God” (Isaiah 40:3). John the baptist came as the messenger who prepare the way for Jesus. He did what he was callled to do during for his lifetime and rejoiced that Jesus became greater and he became less.

선지자 이사야가 이사야 40:3 (외치는 자의 소리여 이르되 너희는 광야에서 여호와의 길을 예비하라 사막에서 우리 하나님의 대로를 평탄하게 하라) 에서 예언한대로, 하나님은 예수님이 오시기 전에 그 길을 예비할 자로서 침례요한을 보내셨습니다. 예수님의 오실 길을 준비하는 광야에 외치는 자의 소리로서의 그의 소명을 정확히 알고 있었던 그는, 예수님이 흥하여지고 본인이 쇠하여지는것을 기뻐했습니다. 자신의 소명을 정확히 알고 사는동안 그 사명을 감당함으로 기뻐하였던요한의 삶에 대해 말해주세요

2. How can we make Jesus greater and ourselves less in our own lives?

3. How can we point other people to Jesus?

John pointed many people to Jesus during his lifetime. How can we point many people who don’t know Jesus to Jesus? Talk about it.
