1. How did Jesus feel about the crowd of people?

예수님은 자신을 따라 온 큰 무리에 대해 어떤 마음을 갖고계셨나요?

“When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things.”

34. 예수께서 나오사 큰 무리를 보시고 그 목자 없는 양 같음으로 인하여 불쌍히 여기사 이에 여러 가지로 가르치시더라

Jesus and His disciples went to a solitary place to get some rest out of busy ministry. But a large crowd followed Jesus. Jesus had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. Jesus taught them and heal the sick.

예수님과 제자들은 한적한 곳을 찾아 가서 잠깐 쉬려고 하였지만 큰 무리는 예수님과 제자들이 가려고 하였던 곳에 먼저 도착하여 예수님을 만나고자 했습니다. 예수님은 자신을 보려고 달려와있던 5000명이 넘는 큰무리를 보시고는 그들이 목자없는 양 같음으로 인하여 불쌍히 여기시며 가르치시고 병자를 고치셨습니다.

2. How was Jesus feeding the crowd of people?

““Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?” Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” There was plenty of grass in that place, and they sat down (about five thousand men were there). Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.”

9. 여기 한 아이가 있어 보리떡 다섯 개와 물고기 두 마리를 가지고 있나이다 그러나 그것이 이 많은 사람에게 얼마나 되겠사옵나이까

10. 예수께서 이르시되 이 사람들로 앉게 하라 하시니 그 곳에 잔디가 많은지라 사람들이 앉으니 수가 오천명쯤 되더라

11. 예수께서 떡을 가져 축사하신 후에 앉아 있는 자들에게 나눠 주시고 물고기도 그렇게 그들의 원대로 주시니라

A boy gave Jesus what he had, 5 loaves and 2 fishes. Jesus gave thanks to God for the food and gave it to people. It was more than enough for 5000+ people. Jesus fed a large crowd from a little thing that a little boy gave. We might only have little things that seem like nothing, but God can use that in mighty ways when we give it to God.

한 아이가 보리떡 5개와 생선 2마리를 예수님께 드렸고 예수님은 그 음식으로 하나님께 감사하시고 그것으로 5000명이 넘는 사람을 먹이셨습니다. 한 작은 아이가 드린 아주 작은 것들로 수많은 사람들을 먹이신 기적을 베푸신 것입니다. 때로 우리가 가진 것들이 아주 작아서 아무것도 아닌 것처럼 보일 때가 있습니다. 하지만 그것들을 하나님께 드릴 때 하나님은 우리가 드린 작은 것들을 통해 놀라운 일을 행하실 수 있는 분이십니다.

1. How can our souls be satisfied? 어떻게 우리 영혼의 만족을 얻을수 있을까요?

“Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”

35. 예수께서 이르시되 나는 생명의 떡이니 내게 오는 자는 결코 주리지 아니할 터이요 나를 믿는 자는 영원히 목마르지 아니하리라

More and more people were following Jesus because of the miracles Jesus had done. However, Jesus didn’t only care for their physical needs, but their spiritual needs. Jesus said to them that He is the bread of life and no one who comes to Him will ever be hungry and thirty again. Only Jesus can satisfy our souls.

예수님이 행하신 기적 때문에 더욱 더 많은 사람들이 예수님을 따랐습니다. 예수님은 그들이 떡을 먹고배부름 까닭에 예수님을 따르는 것을 아셨고 그들의 육적인 배고픔만 채워주시는 것이 아닌 그들의 영적인 배고픔과 목마름을 채우시기를 원하셨습니다. 예수님은 바로 자신이 생명의 떡임을 말씀하시며 누구든지 예수님께 와서 믿는 사람은 주리지도 목마르지도 않을 것이라고 말씀하십니다. 예수님만이 우리의 배고픔과 목마름을 만족시키실 수 있는 유일한 분이십니다.
