1. Why is it important to give thanks to God?
“he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.”

“The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God!””
Psalm 50:23 ESV
God has predestined us to be His children to the praise of his glorious grace. We were called to be God’s children to glorify God and to praise His glorious grace. When we give thanks to God, He is glorified through us.

하나님은 우리가 그의 은혜의 영광을 찬송하게 하도록 하기 위하여 하나님의 자녀가 되게 하셨습니다. 우리는 하나님께 영광을 돌리고 그의 영광을 찬송하도록 하기 위하여 우리를 불러 하나님의 자녀가 되게 하셨습니다. 우리가 하나님께 감사할 때 하나님은 우리를 통해 영광을 받으십니다.
2. When do we have to give thanks to God?
“give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18 NIV
Bible commands us to give thanks in all circumstances and it is the will of God in Christ Jesus. We have to give thanks to God no matter what our circumstances and situation. Talk about how many times we gave thanks to God during this week and remind ourselves to express our gratitude to God in all circumstances and every moment.

성경은 우리에게 범사에 감사하라고 말하고 그것이 그리스도 안에 있는 하나님의 뜻이라고 말합니다. 범사에 감사한다는것은 모든 상황 속에서 감사한다는 것입니다. 우리는 우리가 처한 상황과 환경에 상관 없이 하나님께 항상 감사해야 합니다. 우리가 한주간 하나님께 감사를 표현한 일이 몇번이 있었는지 이야기해보고모든 상황에서 모든순간 하나님께 감사를 표현해야한다는 것을 함께 기억하는 시간을 가져보세요.
