1. How did Peter and John heal the lame beggar? 베드로와 요한은 어떻게 앉은뱅이 걸인을 고쳐주었나요?
The lame beggar was lame from birth and always sat at the gate of temple to receive alms. He was begging at the gate of the temple. When he saw Peter and John, he asked them to receive alms. Peter said “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!”. Immediately the man stood up and began to walk. When Jesus was still on the earth, Jesus told the disciples that “whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than there will he do, because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son”. Peter and John, as Jesus told them, did what Jesus did in the name of Jesus. As Jesus healed the sick with power and authority, Peter and John did the same thing with the power in the name of Jesus with the Holy Spirit.
태어나면서부터 걷지 못했던 않은뱅이는 매일 성전 앞에 앉아서 성전에 들어가는 사람들에게 구걸하곤 했습니다. 그는 성전에 들어가려고하던 베드로와 요한에게도 구걸했습니다. 베드로는 “은과 금은 내게 없거니와 내게 있는 이것을 네게 주노니 나사렛 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 일어나 걸으라” 하고 그를 일으켰고 그는 즉시 일어나 걷기로하고 뛰기도 하였습니다. 예수님은 이 땅에 계실 때에 제자들에게 “나를 믿는 자는 내가 하는 일을 그도 할 것이요 또한 그보다 큰 일도 하리니 이는 내가 아버지께로 감이라”고 말씀하셨습니다. 예수님이 말씀하신 것처럼 베드로와 요한도 예수님의 이름으로 예수님이 행하셨던 기적을 행했습니다. 예수님이 능력과 권능으로 병든자를 고치셨던 것 같이 베드로와 요한도 예수님의 이름의 권능으로 그리고 성령의 능력으로 같은 일을 행하였습니다.
2. What did the lame beggar do after he was healed? 앉은뱅이 걸인이 치유받은 후에 무엇을 하였나요?
The lame beggar entered the temple with Peter and John, walking and leaping and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God, and recognized him as the one who sat at the gate of the temple. And they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. The miracle that Peter and John performed in the name of Jesus was not just for the healing itself. It was for God to be glorified and gospel to be preached through the miracle.
그는 베드로와 요한과 함께 성전에 들어가서 걷기도 하고 뛰기도 하면서 하나님을 찬양하였습니다. 성전안에서 그들을 보았던 모든 이들은 그 사람이 성전 앞에 앉아 구걸하던 이들임을 알아보고는 심히 놀랍게 여기며 놀랐습니다. 베드로와 요한이 예수님의 이름으로 행하였던 그 기적은 그 치유자체를 위한 것이 아니라 그것을 통하여 하나님이 영광 받으시고 복음을 선포하기 위한 것이었습니다.
3. How can we share the gospel?
우리는 어떻게 복음을 전할 수 있나요?
We cannot share the gospel with our own strength. In the book of Acts, we can see the work of the Holy Spirit through the disciples of Jesus to spread the gospel. It was not the work of man, but the work of the Holy Spirit. Jesus had done everything for our salvation and our duty is to share the gospel by the power of the Holy Spirit. We should rely on the work of the Holy Spirit to share the gospel.
우리는 우리의 힘과 능력으로 복음을 전할 수 없습니다. 사도행전에서 우리는 제자들을 통하여 복음이 땅끝까지 이르게 하시는 성령님의 일을 볼 수 있습니다. 이것은 사람이 한 일이 아닌 성령님이 행하신 일이었습니다. 예수님은 우리의 구원을 위해 모든 것을 이미 이루셨고 우리의 의무는 성령의 능력으로 복음을 전하는 것입니다. 우리는 우리의 힘과 능력이 아닌 성령님의 일을 의지하여 복음을 전해야 합니다.
